From our infusions selection it's worth mentioning China rose, or Hibiscus. The vivid red colour that emanates from the infusion comes from anthocyanin. It's very high in antioxidants. Hibiscus is gentle for the stomach and is therefore suitable for people who suffer from stomach and digestion issues. It's also claimed that hibiscus stops the production of amylase, an enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of starch into sugars. If this is correct, drinking hibiscus tea can lessen the sugar absorption in the body and therefore help weight management. The high content of vitamin-C makes the infusion great during colder times.
